Infantile spasms...? Anyone with experience? - infantile seizures
My daughter started with seizures when she was 6 days. We were in the hospital for tests and observation for 5 days. His ultrasound and EEG were normal, but the pediatrician who diagnosed her attacks. She was placed on phenobarbital, when she was 9 days. We saw a pediatric neurologist a week ago (she is now 6 weeks old), who have been diagnosed of benign neonatal convulsions, and said that probably grow out of them at 3 months. There is a possibility it could be something serious, such as epilepsy. Does anyone have a baby with him? What was the outcome? Not to be overcome, and when?

I am sorry to hear about your baby daughter. I have my google alert set for Infantile Spasms and that is how I came across your post.
Infantile Spasms with a normal EEG is common in babies who have CDKL5 and this should be the first test done for an accurate diagnosis. There is more information at www.cdkl5.com
Well, my son does, but it makes my husband. Something went wrong, when I was born, and I'm not enough oxygen to the brain. He began with seizures at this time. They put him on medication. Their role in epilepsy. It's okay, but I know it's scary, but can be controlled by medication, and if a person can live a normal life. My husband has to take the medication for the rest of his life for his epilepsy, and if not, it causes seizures. He lives entirely normal with me and our son. Even if your child can destroy anything like epilepsy or do not know what is going well. Sometimes they can be overcome if they are to remain a positive attitude. Good luck, I wish you the best.
